AerFin, received EASA Part 145 maintenance organisation approval certification for its engine MRO services at its 100,000 sq.ft UK facility, extending its aftermarket services and move towards enhancing its MRO capability across multiple platforms.

The approval will see AerFin’s capabilities expanded to include engine piece part component inspection, testing, certification, borescope inspections and engine module swaps complementing AerFin’s existing engine disassembly capabilities.

AerFin CEO, Bob James, commented:

Securing EASA Part 145 was a natural progress for the business bringing the deserved recognition to AerFin’s exceptional quality of product and customer service. The market is facing significant engine MRO capacity challenges and the EASA 145 accreditation underpins our strategy for growth which will see AerFin bring significant added value through engine MRO services to CFM56-5B, -7B, -5C4, CF34 and the RB211 product lines. We’re looking forward to further serving our expanding customer base with engine MRO product development.
