Constanze Hufenbecher succeeds Dr. Peter Jansen

Change in Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg: The company’s Supervisory Board has appointed Constanze Hufenbecher to the Executive Board with responsibility for Finance for three years beginning February 1, 2016. She succeeds Dr. Peter Jansen, who will
step down as a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik on December 31, 2015.

“Constanze Hufenbecher has already been successful in management in a variety of industries and companies outside aviation and has the
right qualifications for developing and implementing new ideas at Lufthansa Technik, too. We look forward to working with her,” said Carsten Spohr, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Technik AG and CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.

“We welcome Constanze Hufenbecher to the Executive Board. We have big plans for Lufthansa Technik, and I’m convinced that she can make a significant contribution to the development of the company,” said Lufthansa Technik CEO Dr. Johannes Bussmann.

Hufenbecher’s predecessor as Chief Executive Finance, Dr. Jansen, is retiring after fifteen years at the head of Finance at Lufthansa
Technik, but will continue to support the company with advice and assistance.

“Peter Jansen kept Lufthansa Technik on a solid financial footing for fifteen years, even when times were difficult. His competence and
commitment are valued across the Group, and he has my heartfelt thanks for his outstanding achievements,” said Spohr.

Constanze Hufenbecher has a degree in business administration and has held a variety of management positions to date, most recently as
Chief Financial Officer of BE Printers and Prinovis Ltd. & Co. KG, Hamburg.

Dr. Peter Jansen has held a number of management positions in the Lufthansa Group since 1984. In 1994 he became head of Group Audit,
and in 1999 he took over the leadership of both Corporate Controlling and Cost Management. He has been a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik AG since January 2001 with responsibility for Finance. Among his other accomplishments, he positioned the cooperation between Lufthansa Technik AG, the world’s leading MRO provider, and the Group’s airlines on a new efficiency-based platform that is sustainable over the long term.
