Embraer has delivered the first Phenom 100 to China, following the handover of an entry-level jet on 14 December, to Wanfeng Aviation.
The six-seat Phenom 100E – the latest iteration of the ten-year-old twinjet – will be used by the Zhejiang-based company as corporate transport for its parent Wanfeng Auto Holding and for charter services in the country.
“It’s a great honour to receive the first Phenom 100E in China,” says Wanfeng president Chen Bin, “After comprehensive studies of executive jets in the same class, we chose the Phenom 100E, as it ideally meets our demands with its appealing features such as plenty of space, fast speed, and low fuel consumption.”

The 1,180nm (2,180km)-range Phenom 100 is the first clean-sheet business jet produced by Embraer’s Executive Jets division. Since entering service in 2008 more than 320 of the six-seat type have been shipped to 26 countries, says the Brazilian airframer. The upgraded Phenom 100E was introduced last year featuring multi-function spoilers and upgraded interior options.
Embraer has a fleet of 30 business jets in China including Lineage 1000 VIP airliners, large-cabin Legacy 600/650s and Phenom 300 light jets.
