On October 6th Sukhoi Company delivered another batch of Su-34 bombers to Aerospace Defense Forces of Russia in the network of State Defense Order for 2015. The jets performed ferry flight from the airfield of Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ) to their home base, press-service of Sukhoi Company reports.
“Today the Novosibirsk-based plant demonstrates its maximum efficiency. The state contract with Russian Ministry of Defense for delivery of Su-34 to Aerospace Defense Forces of Russia during the period until 2020 provides the enterprise with stable workload for years to come and assures its development. At present the aircraft are successfully operated by military units and the vehicles demonstrate solid operating performance,” Sukhoi Company noted.
The jet’s range is 4000 km, maximum flight speed – 1900 km/h, payload – up to 8 tons. The aircraft are fitted with the latest weapons and aerial refueling system.
