First deliveries of Il-114 aircraft will start in 2019, Russia’s Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters.

"We will ensure first deliveries already in 2019," he said.

According to the minister, the government plans to spend 50 bln rubles ($758 mln) from the budget to finance the production of Il-114.

"As for Il-114, about 50 bln rubles from the budget will be spent on its implementation," Manturov said.

The minister said that the government also plans to spend about 50 billion rubles on production of IL-96-400 for the period until 2021.

IL-114 is a family of aircraft designed in the 1980s by the Ilyushin design bureau.

In October 2014, the Russian President signed a ruling to organize serial production of an upgraded of this aircraft at the Aviakor aircraft factory for the needs of the Defense Ministry and Civil Aviation.
