Airbus honors FACC with the „SQIP Supplier Award“. The international technology group based in Upper Austria was distinguished for its sweeping top achievements as an aerostructures supplier.

In the course of a gala in Toulouse, France, FACC received the “Best Improver Award” from Airbus. The decisive factor for FACC’s long-standing customer was the consistent further developments delivered by the FACC Aerostructures Division. “This award is both recognition and motivation, prompting us to sustainably continue down the path we are already on. We focus on innovation and premium quality, which is appreciated and acknowledged by our customers”, says Robert Machtlinger, CEO of FACC, delighted about this great distinction for FACC. He adds: “Our claim is to develop ourselves constantly to thus be a best-in-class enterprise in the global market.”

Recognition for premium quality

The major share of the products needed for building an aircraft comes from external partners. Together with its premium suppliers, the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus has developed the so-called SQIP, the Supply Chain & Quality Improvement Program, to ensure a stable, top-quality production system across the process chain and beyond the group and the supply chain.

FACC has implemented sustainable advancements in the fields of production management and process management, as well as in terms of product development and quality standards. For this consistent performance reflected in top achievements and top products FACC has now been awarded. “Quality is our customer promise. Keeping it is paramount for FACC. This award emphasizes how much Airbus appreciates us as a reliable technology partner. This makes us very happy“, says Andreas Ockel, COO of FACC.

FACC is a worldwide leading aerospace company in design, development and production of innovative aircraft components and systems. Being the technology partner of all major manufacturers, FACC works together with its customers on developing solutions for the mobility of the future.
