SR Technics, one of the world’s leading providers of technical solutions to airlines, is proud to announce a cooperation with S7 ENGINEERING (S7E), a part of ENGINEERING Holding, to provide Russian and CIS aircraft operators and owners with engine maintenance and on-wing services for CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines.

The two companies signed a long-term agreement today to combine SR Technics technical expertise on MRO services with ENGINEERING Holding’s deep understanding of the needs of local customers. Furthermore, SR Technics will introduce and train the local teams in the LEAN and Continuous Improvement Culture, providing the highest quality and safety standards for the benefit of customers.

The world class engine MRO services will be provided in a new S7E repair facility located in Domodedovo Airport (DME), Moscow, which will commence operations in early summer 2016.

SR Technics will support the certification of the engine repair facility in accordance with the Russian Ministry of Transport and EASA guidelines by implementing the SR Technics quality standards and best practices.

In addition to S7E’s new facility in Moscow, the engine maintenance and on-wing services will be offered in Novosibirsk and Mineralnye Vody. This will reduce costs and complexity for local airlines looking for an integrated solution for their engine MRO activities. If full engine service capability is needed, it will be offered at SR Technics’ Zurich facilities in Switzerland.

ENGINEERING Holding’s CFO, Roman Fedorov commented: “We are excited to establish cooperation with SR Technics. Combining SR Technics’ knowledge and know-how as one of the most efficient MRO’s in the world and ENGINEERING’s expertise and understanding of the clients’ demands, the new facility will allow to deliver the highest standards of quality for engine maintenance, reduce costs and improve TAT.”

SR Technics’ interim CEO Jeremy Remacha commented: “We are very delighted to enter this new cooperation with S7E, and expand our footprint in Russia. Russia and CIS represent important growth potential for SR Technics, and we look forward to taking this opportunity to the next level.”
