Liebherr-Aerospace and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, one of the world's leading providers of MRO services, have signed a Heat Exchanger Maintenance Services Agreement at MRO Europe 2024 in Barcelona. Over the next 5 years, Liebherr-Aerospace will provide re-coring services for Air France KLM Group aircraft portfolio heat exchangers. The re-coring includes the replacement of the matrix and will take place at the workshops of Liebherr-Aerospace’s center of competence for air management systems in Toulouse.

The agreement will take effect immediately and will cover the ongoing maintenance needs of the Airbus A320ceo/neo and A220 heat exchanger products of the Air France KLM Group's aircraft portfolio and that of its customers. By leveraging Liebherr-Aerospace’s specialized expertise, the partnership aims to optimize maintenance turnaround times and ensure the continued airworthiness of the fleet.

Robert Pruim, Vice-President Procurement Engineering & Maintenance at Air France KLM Group commented: “This collaboration with Liebherr-Aerospace aligns with our mission to enhance maintenance efficiency and aircraft performance. We look forward to working closely together to ensure the highest levels of service for our fleet and our customers.”

Alex Vlielander, Chief Customer Officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS stated: “This agreement reflects the solid, long-term partnership built between our two companies based on Liebherr’s quality, performance and competitiveness in the field of heat exchangers. The sharing of our know-how will enable Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance to provide high-performance maintenance services while optimizing return-to-service times. Operators will benefit from our OEM expertise and years of experience in servicing the equipment.”
