School4Pilots achieved their FNPT II simulator qualification for their ALSIM ALSR20. School4Pilots is the first operator of an EASA-certified ALSIM ALSR20 simulator in the EASA region. The ALSR20 is the brand-new simulator manufactured by ALSIM and is the exact replica of the Cirrus SR20 aircraft. This Flight Training Device Level 5 is specifically designed for PPL and IR training needs. The device reproduces the Cirrus SR20 specific interior cockpit and flight deck and comes along with a Garmin GDU 1050A and GFC 700 Autopilot. The ALSR20 is equipped with a Garmin GMA 350C – All digital Audio Panel and a Garmin GCU 479. The device can also simulate the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System.

Ulf Meckbach, CEO at School4Pilots GmbH, commented: “The cooperation of all involved in the certification process was exceptional and characterized by great mutual understanding as well as the willingness to always achieve the goal of getting our ALSIM SR20 simulator certified as soon as possible. I would like to emphasize the trustful and cooperative collaboration with the German authority LBA. The certification process itself with ALSIM and the technical inspectors of the LBA went absolutely smoothly. In my opinion, a simulator acceptance cannot run any better. As CEO, I am more than satisfied to have made it from installation to acceptance in just under 6 months.”

Jordan Basirico, ALSIM FSTD Qualification Engineer, said: “Thanks to the strong collaboration between School4Pilots and ALSIM, the qualification process was smooth and efficient. German authorities have performed a fair and professional evaluation of the device, and we are enthusiastic about working with School4Pilots. Students of School4Pilots are now able to log up to 25 of 40 hours of simulator flight towards their CBIR license, on a high-end replica of the Cirrus SR20 G6 in addition to logged hours in the SR20 aircraft.”
