Astonfly becomes the first flight school to fully refund each student for their Integrated ATP training (Ab Initio Line Pilot) in the event of failure or abandonment of the candidate during the theoretical phase (14 ATPL certificates). With 150 pilots trained each year and a fleet of over 30 aircraft, Astonfly is the leading private professional pilot training center in France.

Major development: successful training or full refund

Thanks to an admission assessment in English, accessible from baccalaureate level, but particularly selective (mathematics, physics, general aeronautical culture, cognitive and behavioral tests), Astonfly has to date demonstrated a failure or dropout rate lower than 5%, these appearing in almost all cases during the first 9 months of the theoretical phase of airline pilot training.

Thus, Astonfly now offers to fully refund the student in the event of failure or abandonment of the training during the theoretical phase. Astonfly thus wishes to allow the least confident candidates to free themselves from financial contingencies to give themselves every chance of accessing the job of their dream.

Patrick Milward, managing director of Astonfly, commented: “We pay special attention to supporting our students, from the start of their training to their integration into an airline. From now on, Astonfly offers the opportunity to access the profession of airline pilot, without any financial consideration in the event of failure or abandonment of the candidate."

Since its creation in 2004, Astonfly has taken into account the international aeronautical context and the demands of its customers. This translates into a state-of-the-art fleet, regularly expanded infrastructure, latest-generation educational equipment, and even more recently, the signing of an ethical charter implemented by the National Union of Airline Pilots (SNPL).
