Airbus Flight Academy Europe, selected Alsim’s AL42 FNPT II flight simulator . The simulator was delivered few weeks ago in Angouleme, France.

Mr Jean Longobardi, Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Flight Academy Europe, explains why they chose Alsim: "We were looking for a flight trainer that faithfully simulated the Diamond DA42 VI aircraft and demonstrated a high level of reliability. Alsim has met these requirements with its AL42. In addition, we particularly appreciated the responsiveness and commitment of Alsim including their ability to deliver the simulator quickly."

Mr Nicolas de Lassus, Sales Account Manager at Alsim, added: "We are delighted to have been selected by the Airbus Flight Academy Europe to equip its ab initio pilot training school. With the AL42, the school will have an excellent and proven training tool, a culmination of Alsim's 25 years of experience. Having a reliable and efficient flight simulator is essential to ensure high quality and cost-effective training. We are confident that this acquisition is the beginning of a great partnership between our two companies."

About Airbus Flight Academy Europe

Based in Angouleme, the Airbus Flight Academy Europe relies on trans-divisional synergies to offer its ab-initio training program as part of the Airbus Pilot Cadet Training Program approved by EASA at the end of 2018. This training will be delivered by instructor pilots trained in the Airbus standard and will complete the intermediate and advanced training phases already available and offered within the existing training network, which includes 17 sites worldwide.

The Airbus Flight Academy Europe aims to train up to 200 cadet pilots a year. Thanks to a modern fleet of single-engine and multi-engine aircraft equipped with all-glass cockpits and the latest-generation of flight simulators, the training program will enable student pilots to acquire the skills and the state of mind required to become "operational pilots" developmentally-minded in determining the technical and behavioral skills essential to flying.
