The only international training seminar of its kind in Eastern Europe dedicated to the jet fuel supply to airports will be held by Gazpromneft-Aero in cooperation with IATA Fuel Quality Pool. The event will be held on July 22-26, 2019 at Gazpromneft-Aero’s refueling station at the Tolmachevo international airport in Novosibirsk, one of the six worldwide sites certified by IATA to host the IFQP training sessions.

Dedicated specialists working for airlines, aviation fuel supply companies, refueling stations and airports are invited to participate in the event. During the theoretical part of the training, the participants will study the best practices in technological procedures including receipt, storage and distribution of fuel. Using Gazpromneft-Aero as a case study, IFQP experts will touch upon the peculiarities of operations of the modern equipment for jet refuelling, Centralized Aircraft Refuelling System (CARS) and the latest changes in the international aviation fuel supply regulations.

The practical part of the training will include team work at a modern refueling station and at the airport, where they’ll be able to gain first-hand experience on the refueling process carried out with different types of equipment. The trainees will also be briefed on the internal record keeping in compliance with international standards as well as the requirements for the main grades of aviation fuels and the sampling procedure.

Gazpromneft-Aero CEO Vladimir Yegorov said: “Taking part in the training in Novosibirsk will allow representatives of Russian and foreign carriers to get practical experience of using the IFQP standards. Upon completion of the course, attendants will receive the international IATA certificate for the audit of aviation fuel infrastructure of airports. Gazpromneft-Aero is committed to foster the integration of international aviation fueling standards not only within the company’s facilities, but across the entire Russian aviation industry”.
