China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited, the largest independent aircraft operating lessor in China, today announced that it has completed the delivery of the third and the fourth of six A320 aircraft to China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (“China Eastern Airlines” or “CEA”). These two aircraft were delivered on 23 and 24 December, at the facilities of Airbus in Toulouse, France and Tianjin, China respectively.

CALC delivered a total of 19 aircraft in 2015, growing its fleet to 63 aircraft. The Group’s fleet is currently on schedule to expand to 168 aircraft by 2022.

CALC and China Eastern Airlines signed agreements to lease six Airbus A320 aircraft on a 144-month lease terms in July 2015. The first two aircraft was successfully delivered on 5 and 27 November 2015, and the remaining aircraft will be delivered by the first half of 2016.

CALC’s long-term partnership with China Eastern Airlines began in 2013 when CALC purchased three used A300-600F aircraft from the carrier in conjunction with the placement of six new aircraft leases. For that, CALC became the first Chinese lessor completing a packaged deal covering both the disposal of old aircraft and the provision of new aircraft for its airline customer. The recent lease agreements have further deepened an already close partnership among CALC and CEA.
