AERO reflects the entire spectrum of General Aviation, from air sports aircraft to helicopters. This mixture of different areas of aviation is unique at a trade fair and is one strength of the industry summit at Lake Constance. This year, AERO also impresses its visitors with the largest number of business jets at any trade fair in Europe. General Aviation can look back on a successful year and starts the new flying season optimistically with AERO, the leading global trade fair for the industry. The demand for new pilots from airlines and other operators around the world ensures good capacity utilization at flight schools and a high level of orders for manufacturers of training aircraft. Private demand for single-engine and twin-engine aircraft is also at a good level globally, despite all the crises.

The exhibition grounds in Friedrichshafen are connected to the Bodensee Airport by a dedicated taxiway, which enables exhibitors to taxi their aircraft from the airport to the static display and into the halls and thus offers a unique terrain infrastructure in Europe.

Tobias Bretzel, AERO Show Director commented: “AERO 2025 promises to be a very good event. Exhibitors and visitors can hardly wait for AERO to open its doors again. This year, Business Aviation will be represented in Friedrichshafen with a particularly large line-up. We will also be presenting an airshow again on two days."

On Thursday (April 10, 2025) – weather permitting – an e-Flight Airshow will take place for the second time in the history of AERO, where current electric-powered aircraft will be on display in the sky between 12:30 and 13:15. This “silent” airshow is a milestone in the history of electric flight, as it will also be the first time that a certified electric aircraft from Chinese production, the RX4E, will be shown in flight outside of China.

On Saturday (April 12, 2025), the traditional airshow will thrill visitors with aerobatics and glider aerobatics from 12:00 to 13:45. Saturday is AERO's Family Day, when families can get into AERO at a special price with a ticket for just 38 euros. The family ticket is not available online, but only at the box offices. Further information on the flight program of the trade fair can be found at: https://www.aero-expo.com/trade-show-branches/airshow.

The ultralight aircraft industry will once again present itself at AERO 2025 with a particularly innovative and wide range of products: The raising of the weight limit to 600 kilograms two years ago has enabled the development and production of innovative aircraft, which will be on display at AERO 2025.

The glider manufacturers will once again enrich AERO 2025 with their aircraft and services in 2025, before returning to the traditional two-year participation rhythm.

Companies have once again joined forces to form national pavilions for AERO 2025. “The Dutch Pavilion, which was represented at AERO for the first time in 2024, and a Chinese national pavilion, which will primarily present products for sustainable aviation, have been announced,” says Tobias Bretzel.

Once again, a very extensive conference, lecture and presentation program will enable an intensive exchange between industry players and interested parties. The day before the AERO, the 3rd Hydrogen and Battery Summit in Friedrichshafen will mark the start of an important international summit on the sustainable future of aviation. At the Hydrogen and Battery Summit (8 and 9 April 2025), renowned experts from universities, research laboratories and development centers will present their projects and discuss innovative solutions for the challenges on the way to climate-neutral flying.
