German airline Lufthansa has said it plans to suspend flights to Venezuela next month due to the worsening economic situation in the country.
The carrier said currency controls in the South American nation had made it impossible for it to convert earnings into dollars and repatriate revenue.
Lufthansa added that it hoped to restore services in the near future.

Brazil's Gol airline announced Tuesday that it has temporarily suspended operations in Venezuela because of the difficulties the company encounters when it tries to send money back to its home country.
"Gol temporarily suspended its operations in Caracas, Venezuela until the issue of repatriation of company resources in the country is resolved," the airline said in a statement....
