Westover Metropolitan Airport announced its recent partnership with Paragon Aviation Group. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Westover's long-standing history as a key aviation hub in the Northeast. Westover Metropolitan Airport, initially established as Westover Field by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939, has been a vital part of the region's aviation history. During World War II, it became the largest military air facility in the Northeast. In 1974, the Westover Metropolitan Development Corporation was formed to repurpose military property for civilian use, establishing a joint-use airfield agreement that allows the civilian sector to utilize the runway around the clock.

Crystal Kubeczka, President of Paragon Aviation Group commented: "By adding Westover Metropolitan Airport to the Paragon family, we are not just growing our network—we are enhancing our collective capability to innovate and excel. This partnership underscores our commitment to diversity, strategic placement, and shared excellence, benefiting every member of our network through enhanced service benchmarks and innovative collaboration."

Andy Widor, President/Airport Manager at Westover Metropolitan Airport said: "This collaboration with Paragon is a game changer for us. It not only reinforces our commitment to exceptional customer service but also positions Westover as a leading hub for aviation in the Northeast."

Westover’ dedicated team prioritizes exceptional customer service, ensuring that all customer requests are met efficiently. The proactive approach and effective communication within the team ensure smooth operations and quick resolutions of any issues that arise. The airport's emphasis on customer satisfaction is reflected in its competitive rates and its reputation for going above and beyond to provide an excellent flying experience.

Boasting the longest runway in New England at 11,597 feet, Westover is equipped to handle various types of aircraft. Its recently renovated passenger terminal and TSA checkpoint allow for a smooth charter service experience. Westover’s FAA Part 139 certificate and NATA Safety 1st certification demonstrate its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.

In 2020, Westover completed a full-depth reconstruction of its main runway 05/23, an essential update that occurs roughly every 30 years. The completion of this project during a lull in air traffic has positioned the airport for growth and improved efficiency. Westover also introduced new amenities, such as a 10 oz. engraved Yeti tumbler for operators purchasing a minimum of 800 gallons of fuel, as well as a fully renovated air crew lounge and kitchen. Looking ahead to early 2025, the airport is excited to unveil its newly renovated 31,500 sq. ft. hangar, once the fire suppression system installation is complete.

Located just two miles from the Massachusetts Turnpike and six miles from Interstate 91, Westover provides seamless travel to major cities like Boston, Providence, and New York. Additionally, nearby attractions such as The Berkshires and The Basketball Hall of Fame offer further appeal for travelers.
