Early January is the perfect moment to look back at numbers and trends of the last year, as well as set goals and objectives for new one. The results for Geneva Airpark from January to the end of November, 2022, are very encouraging. The projections for a full year of operation also show a significant rise in activity on the previous three years.
Movements in 2022

Geneva Airpark registered 2,309 aircraft movements arrival/departure to the end of November, 2022. According to projections up to the end of December, that number should rise to 2,500, which is 15 % up on 2021, and 9 % more than in 2019, the year before the crisis. These indicators show that our customer base has returned to normal flying activity after two years of travel restrictions.
Number of movements over 12 months
- 2019: 2,285
- 2020: 1,629
- 2021: 2,188
- 2022: 2,500

Daily 2022: the return of one-off customers
For the occasional customers, who took advantage of Geneva Airpark’s services for a few hours, a day, or several days, activity for the first 11 months of 2022 is also promising.
The number of movements has almost doubled, compared to 2021
Movements are up by 65 % on 2020.
The turnover achieved by Geneva Airpark in this customer category (up 83.4% on 2021, and 60% on 2020) shows that it is recovering but has not yet returned to the pre-pandemic level of 2019.
The impact of Covid affected Geneva Airpark differently at various points in the crisis.
The first quarter of 2020 was a period of strong activity in the Daily category for the infrastructure at Geneva Airpark, but Covid hit the last months of the year hard.
The first quarter of 2021 was still badly affected by travel restrictions. Daily activity improved gradually over the next nine months.
