GAS German Aviation Service is now a Universal Aviation® certified ground handler. Universal Aviation is the worldwide ground support network of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. As a Universal Aviation Certified member, all locations in the GAS network will now officially adhere to the same ground handling safety, customer service, and regulatory compliance standards as Universal Aviation-owned locations.
“We are very happy about having been granted the status of a certified member of Universal Aviation”, says Andreas Becker, CEO and founder of GAS German Aviation Service. “On the one hand it is a distinction for our efforts to constantly improve our performance and deliver the best possible service, on the other hand, Universal Aviation certainly is an excellent reference for us”, he adds.
The Universal Aviation® Certified program is designed to be an extension of its global ground support network. It enables customers to fly to more locations worldwide where they can expect the exact same quality service standards with which they are used to at Universal Aviation owned and operated locations.
Adherence to Universal Aviation standards will be managed via recurrent training and regular audits. Universal Aviation Certified members will benefit by being the primary handler on the field for receiving traffic from Universal trip support services clients. At their locations, they will display Universal Aviation Certified branding and signage, and will still maintain their own independent brand identities.
“The addition of all German Aviation Service locations throughout the country to our Universal Aviation Certified network will enable us to ensure our customers’  xpectations on the ground are exceeded in this important market,” said Jonathan Howells, Senior Vice President, International, Universal®.
