FlightSafety International started training in the first FAA level-D Cessna Citation Latitude simulator at its Cessna Pilot Learning Center in Wichita. EASA qualification of the training device is planned for early next year. A second Citation Latitude simulator will also be installed next year at the company’s learning center in Columbus, Ohio.
“Building two Citation Latitude full flight simulators demonstrates our long-term commitment to provide our customers with the training programs they require and to deliver industry-leading service and support,” said FlightSafety executive vice president David Davenport.
Meanwhile, the pilot and aircraft maintenance training firm is installing two FAA level-D simulators for the Cessna Caravan at its Wichita East Learning Center. One will be equipped with Garmin G1000 and the other with GarminG600 avionics. Both are expected to come online in January.
