Edinburgh Airport has warned of "delays to all flights this morning" as a technical issue affects Scottish air traffic control.
Journeys from two other airports -- in Glasgow and Aberdeen -- are also being disrupted by the fault, which emerged overnight at a major control centre in Prestwick.
In a statement, National Air Traffic Services (NATS) said: "Some impact is expected on flights this morning, but the situation is improving. Every possible action is being taken to assist airlines to minimise disruption.
"Passengers are advised to contact their airline to confirm the status of their flight."
