Qatar Airways will start operating an A350-900 Airbus from 27 October for flights from Brussels to Doha.
Passengers will enjoy a unique travel experience thanks to this new generation aircraft which offers unrivalled comfort and is widely acclaimed for its spacious and quiet two-class cabin thanks to an outstanding noise isolation. Whether in Business or Economy Class, passengers will benefit from extra wide seats and more legroom, while enjoying the view through panoramic windows.
Travellers will also be able to enjoy the airline’s premium services, including the Oryx entertainment system, which offers up to 4,000 entertainment options and optimal connectivity via the in-flight Wi-Fi and GSM networks.
At the cutting edge of technology, the A350-900 is equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines that reduce CO2 emissions per passenger by 25% compared to current generation aircraft. It also has the lowest carbon emission rate of any wide-body power plant, with the A350-1000, of which Qatar Airways is also the launch company.
The cabin's LED lighting system simulates natural daylight to help reduce jetlag effect and improve passenger comfort, while the advanced air conditioning system optimises temperature control. The unique control of the humidity level and the high efficiency filters allow an optimal cabin air quality and are among the most efficient in the aviation industry.
Made up of 70% advanced materials combining composites, titanium and modern aluminium alloys, the A350-900 also integrates carbon fibres into its fuselage, which facilitates maintenance while saving fuel and reducing operating costs from 25%.
