Monarch celebrated the launch to two new routes from Birmingham Airport to Lisbon and Madrid last Friday. Cabin Crew were present at check-in to greet customers with a celebratory glass of fizz and a cupcake.
Monarch cabin crew were on hand to help with the celebrations with two dressed in vintage Monarch uniform, one which was worn on Monarch’s very first flight to Madrid back in 1968.
Monarch’s Chief Commercial Officer, Adrian Tighe was joined by Aviation Development Director for Birmingham Airport William Pearson at Monarch’s check-in desk at Birmingham Airport to celebrate the launch of the airlines new flights to Lisbon and Madrid.
Adrian Tighe said: “We are delighted to add two new routes to our Birmingham programme. We are the only UK airline to fly direct to Lisbon from Birmingham Airport and now our customers have two new city break destinations to choose from when flying out of Birmingham Airport with Monarch.”
William Pearson said: “Monarch is a reputable and longstanding partner of ours and adding two new capital cities to the portfolio of destinations available from Birmingham demonstrates the carrier’s commitment to the region and ambition to offer reliable, affordable travel for Midlanders.
