Libyan Wings launched its flights to Istanbul last week, ch-aviation reports.

Libyan Wings CEO, Edgardo Badiali told the Libya Herald that he had hoped the security situation surround the launch would stay calm, however the situation has deteriorated as Islamic State fighters infiltrates Tripoli Mitiga airport earlier in the month.

Regardless, Libyan Wings plans to continue expanding, adding flights to Khartoum and Tunis next.
