Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) will add four weekly year-round flights between its New York-JFK hub and Tel Aviv beginning May 26, 2016. The new flights will be available for sale beginning Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015.

Delta Air Lines and the Delta Connection carriers offer service to nearly 370 destinations on six continents. For more information visit news.delta.com.

The additional flights will complement Delta’s existing daily service to Tel Aviv for a total of 11 weekly flights between the two cities and third largest trans-Atlantic market. Delta will operate the added flights with a 291-seat, Boeing 777-200ER, which is Wi-Fi equipped so customers can stay connected at 30,000 feet.

Delta’s additional nonstop flight between Tel Aviv and New York-JFK will operate as follows:

Flight number

Arrival
DL490
New York-JFK at 4 p.m.
Tel Aviv at 9:50 a.m. (next day)
DL254

New York-JFK at 4:50 p.m.

“From next summer, Delta will offer more than 2,300 extra seats between Tel Aviv and New York, one of our largest trans-Atlantic markets, responding to customer demand for increased nonstop service,” said Nat Pieper, Delta’s Senior Vice President – Europe, Middle East and Africa. “With 11 weekly services between the two cities and a choice of departure times, we are offering customers greater flexibility when it comes to planning their travel both to New York and throughout the U.S.”

Delta’s Tel Aviv flights feature full flat-bed seats with direct aisle access and a range of regionally inspired dining options in the Delta One cabin, with Westin Heavenly Inflight Bedding and Tumi amenity kits. Customers flying in Delta Comfort+ benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Main Cabin seats, as well as priority boarding. Throughout the aircraft, all passengers have access to on-demand in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi.

Delta’s New York-JFK hub has a number of amenities for passengers, including multiple food and retail outlets. Delta One customers also have complimentary access to the Delta Sky Club, which features an open air Sky Deck terrace and specially-selected food and beverage options.

Over the past six years, Delta has invested more than $2 billion in New York City’s airports, improving the traveler experience by bringing state-of-the-art technology, award-winning chefs and exceptional customer service to a growing number of New York passengers. Delta offers more than 450 peak-day departures to more than 100 destinations worldwide from its hubs at New York’s LaGuardia Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport. The Delta Sky Club at JFK now offers enhanced food options, premium drink offerings, Starbucks coffee and an automated, self-service espresso machine featuring Starbucks coffee.
