Shandong Aielines (SC) has expanded its fleet to 90 aircraft, with a new Boeing 737-800 (Registration B-7087) landing at Jinan Yaoqiao International Airport (TNA) on Dec. 11.

With the arrival of B-7087 aircraft, Shandong Airlines has completed its fleet introduction plan for 12th Five Year.

According to statistics, the Jinan-based carrier has taken delivery of 57 aircraft in 2010-2015, with an average increase of 118% compared with that at the end of 2009. Meanwhile, Shandong Airlines gradually phased out old 737-300 and CRJ200 aircraft with new 737NGs. Now, the airline operates one of the youngest fleet in China, with 4.3 years on average.

As its fleet expands, Shandong Airlines has speeded up its network expansion by boosting "Delta Zone" centering Shandong, Xiamen and Chongqing and establishing Urumqi and Guiyang bases, as well as launching more regional and international services.
