A drunk woman launched into a vile rant shouting "I hope you crash" as she was removed from a Thomas Cook plane at Cuba's Cayo Coco airport.
The plane was full of British holidaymakers heading back to Manchester, but the woman delayed the flight by an hour after becoming abusive.
It is believed she was drinking in the departure lounge before she boarded.
She was cleared for flying but was told she would not be served alcohol on board.
According to the Manchester Evening News, one holidaymaker, David Madisson-Lee, 50, was waiting on board to fly home when he noticed the woman.
He said: "A woman started cursing immediately. She was continually swearing and being abusive. She was very loud.
"Other holidaymakers got involved and told her to be quiet but she kept on."
"The captain was alerted and decided to turn around."
"We had taxied for just 10 minutes when it all happened. I did not see any police get on but she was escorted off and arrested, according to the captain."
"He apologised for the delay, but said safety comes first."
The flight landed safely in Manchester on Friday morning.
Speaking to the Mirror, a Thomas Cook spokesman said: "It is down to our crew being trained really well and looking out for signs of trouble and certain types of behaviour that we were able to take this action."
"We take the safety of our passengers and crew extremely seriously. It will be up to this passenger to make her own arrangements to get home."
