Fly Blue Crane, the first airline established by a black woman, is already spreading its wings and expanding onto bigger and better horizons. Launched by CEO Siza Mzimela in September 2015, the airline has been operating domestically in South Africa since its inception. However, Fly Blue Crane will be taking off for its first international flight on May 13 with service between Cape Town and Windhoek, Namibia, according to OkayAfrica.

Mzimela expressed that she would love to see the South African-based airline, which consists of an all-female staff, cover various locations like Botswana, Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, too.

Mzimela, who has over 20 years in the industry, also shared tips for women trying to break through in the aviation business with Runway Girl Network, saying: “The truth of matter is you have to accept up front that your road will be more difficult than the pale white male sitting next to you. Instead of moaning and complaining, just get on with it. It’s your job to say ‘nothing will stop me. I’m going to make it.”

Well, congratulations are surely in order for Fly Blue Crane and Mzimela.
