CAE has signed a long-term exclusive pilot training agreement with Global Crossing Airlines to deploy and operate an Airbus A320 family full-flight simulator in Miami, Florida. The FFS is scheduled to be ready for training in the first quarter of 2024 to support GlobalX’s ongoing growth and the expansion of its Airbus A321 freighter fleet.
John Coomes, GlobalX’s Vice President and Director of Operations, commented: “We are delighted to be signing this agreement with CAE to provide GlobalX with a dedicated Level D full-flight simulator. We expect to see our relationship with CAE continue to grow as we focus on having the very highest levels of safety in our operations. We greatly appreciate CAE’s confidence in our team and our company by providing us with this FFS.”
Michel Azar-Hmouda, CAE’s Division President, Commercial Aviation Training, said: “We are happy to welcome GlobalX as a new CAE customer, and with this long-term agreement, we look forward to supporting the airline’s growth with this A320 FFS.
