Air France deplores the call for strike action by two cabin crew unions (SNPNC-FO and UNSA-PNC) from 27 July to 2 August, over a period that will penalize customers during their summer holidays.

Initial estimates, based on prior declarations received by the airline, indicate an average strike rate of 35% for Wednesday 27 July 2016:

- Approximately 40% on long-haul flights
- Approximately 25% on medium-haul flights

Air France will do all it can to operate the majority of its long-haul flights, but some cancellations will nonetheless be inevitable.

Flights to and from Europe and the short-haul domestic network operated by Air France aircraft will suffer more disruption.

In total, on Wednesday 27 July,

- Over 90% of long-haul flights could operate, some of which may have a reduced number of passengers depending on the number of cabin crew.
- 70% of medium and short-haul flights could operate, some of which may also have a reduced number of passengers.

At this stage this is an initial estimate which will be confirmed tomorrow, Tuesday 26, late morning.

Air France flights operated by another airline, including HOP!, KLM and Delta are not affected by this strike action.

Several thousand Air France staff are already mobilized to minimize the impact of this strike action.

In case of a cancellation or delay, Air France offers the AF Connect service to directly inform customers on their mobile phone, smartphone or by email which is free of charge and available in 13 languages for all passengers worldwide.

In order to be personally notified by AF Connect, Air France invites customers to update their personal contact details (mobile phone and /or email address) in their reservation file on the airline’s website.

Customers are recommended to check their flight status, available in real time on the website airfrance.com in the “Your reservations” section, before going to the airport.
