Med-View Airline commences London Gatwick service

Welcome to London. Med-View Airline London Gatwick Airport Duty Manager, Kirit Masrani welcomes Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu; Med-View Airline CEO, Alhaji Muneer Bankole; and the carrier’s Head of Engineering, Lookman Animashsaun. Greeting Akiolu off the inaugural flight is Simon Edwards, Airline Business Development Manager, London Gatwick Airport. Services will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Med-View Airline commenced its first long-haul operation on 20 November by launching a new four times-weeklyLagos (LOS) to London Gatwick (LGW) service. The 4,972-kilometre sector will be flown by the carrier’s sole 767-300 and will face no direct competition although indirect competition is strong. Arik Air, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways each offer a daily service between London Heathrow and Lagos, meaning a combined total of 21 weekly flights already operate between the two cities.
