New partnership to improve connectivity in the South Pacific - Air Tahiti Nui & Air Rarotonga
Air Tahiti Nui and Air Rarotonga announce a new partnership that will improve connectivity for travelers between France, the United States and the Cook Islands via French Polynesia, making travel across the South Pacific smoother than ever. This strategic partnership will allow passengers to enjoy greater flexibility, with optimized itineraries and easier connections between some of the Pacific's most beautiful island destinations.
Thanks to this cooperation, travelers will benefit from an expanded flight network, offering them simplified access to several islands in the Cook Islands and French Polynesia. Connections will now be more convenient via the hubs of Faa'a International Airport in Papeete (PPT) and Rarotonga International Airport (RAR), guaranteeing smoother travel.
In addition, this partnership will allow passengers to make their entire journey on a single ticket, simplifying their experience and facilitating transfers between the two airlines' networks. In addition, by offering improved connections and reduced waiting times for connections, Air Tahiti Nui and Air Rarotonga aim to provide a more comfortable and efficient travel experience, while increasing route options for travellers wishing to explore the region.
Mathieu Bechonnet, General Manager of Air Tahiti Nui, commented: "We are delighted to be working with Air Rarotonga to further enrich travel experiences in the Pacific. By working together, we are ensuring that visitors and residents can explore the natural beauty and vibrant cultures of Tahiti and the Cook Islands more easily and flexibly."
Ewan Smith, Managing Director of Air Rarotonga, stated: "This partnership represents a significant step forward in improving access between our two island nations. We look forward to offering more flight options to our passengers and strengthening the links between the Cook Islands and French Polynesia."
To ensure optimum connectivity, Air Tahiti Nui operates up to 7 flights a week between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Papeete (PPT) via Los Angeles (LAX), up to 11 flights a week between Los Angeles and Tahiti, and 2 flights a week between Seattle and Tahiti. This high frequency allows travelers from France, Europe and North America to reach French Polynesia with ease, before continuing their journey to the Cook Islands thanks to optimized connections with Air Rarotonga.
The Papeete/Rarotonga flights are operated jointly by Air Rarotonga (GZ) and Air Tahiti (VT), allowing 4 round trips a week to/from Papeete, connecting with Air Tahiti Nui.
