JSX becomes first to offer free, instant-access Starlink Wi-Fi across its ATR 42-600 fleet
As the first global launch customer for SpaceX’s Starlink in 2023, the award-winning public charter air carrier JSX is once again setting a new standard in aviation with the first-ever rollout of lightning-fast Wi-Fi across its fleet of fuel-efficient ATR 42-600 turboprop aircraft, now available on all flights.
JSX CEO Alex Wilcox commented: “As the global launch customer for Starlink inflight internet, it’s only fitting that JSX is the first to bring this game-changing technology to the ATR 42. Our Customers appreciate the ATR for its comfort and convenience – now with Starlink, we’re again redefining what air travel should be.”
JSX ATR 42-600 fleet serves key markets such as Santa Monica (SMO), Las Vegas (LAS), Scottsdale (SCF), and Napa (APC) offering Customers full online connectivity in-flight at no extra charge, prioritizing service, simplicity, and alleviating the typical stresses associated with commercial air travel. Espousing ease and access at every turn, JSX’s new ATR Starlink Wi-Fi service is an ‘instant on’ platform – Customers can simply hop-on and log on by selecting the network name without needing to input credit card details or fumbling with a cumbersome and spotty login process.
Innovation has been core to JSX’s DNA since its inception. Over the past year, the company began its ATR turboprop operations, bringing more than 1,000 new and underserved airports across the United States into reach for JSX, many of which were previously accessible only via private aviation.
