Incident: United Airlines A320 at Las Vegas on Oct. 9, 2015, Nose Gear Problem
A United Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration N417UA performing flight UA-519 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Las Vegas,NV (USA) with 157 people on board, was descending towards Las Vegas when the crew reported they had no nose wheel steering and needed to stop on the runway.
Emergency services were called to their stand by positions for the arrival. While the A320 was maneouvering for the approach another arriving flight declared medical emergency, approach control squeezed the medical emergency in just ahead of UA-519 with 5nm between the two aircraft, UA-519 offering to reduce their speed in support of letting the medical in prior to them. The A320 landed safely on Las Vegas' runway 07R, stopped on the runway and was towed off the runway.
