Air France announced its restructuring plan to employees
Paris - Tense Monday for Air France agents: they are called to strike against the restructuring plan threatening in the short term 3,000 jobs, which should be announced in the morning at a central works council.
Three unions (CGT, FO and Unsa) at national level, and CFDT, in the South, called for the mobilization, but the strike rate is unknown, some agents opting to strike a few hours, others for the day.
Air France said that "all of its flights would be ensured", without excluding "some delays"
At 9:30,the management must formally communicate its decision to implement in 2016 a new restructuring plan to the Central Works Council (CEC) dring the meeting at the headquarters at Roissy.
Friday, management had already outlined the board it is necessary to replace the original "Perform 2020" after "failed negotiations" with the pilots on new productivity measures.
"Perform 2020" was spposed to ask the cabin crew to fly a hundred more hours per year, at constant compensation, a unanimously rejected by the unions plan.
Air France executives have "never had two planes" and held "a parody of negotiation," defended the president of the National Union of Airline Pilots (SNPL) Air France, Philippe Evain, when the nion was held responsible for the situation.
